Children: getting used to it through play
Children are welcome from their first tooth. We let young children settle in gently first: watching while mum or dad is seen, a ride in the chair, holding the mirror themselves. In this way the check-up becomes something ordinary, and it stays that way.
The focus is on prevention: brushing guidance suited to the child's age, advice on diet and sugary moments, and spotting cavities or unusual dental development in good time. Where orthodontics comes into view, we advise and refer in good time.
Good to know: dental care for children up to the age of 18 is reimbursed almost in full from the basic health insurance, with no own-risk excess.
Afraid of the dentist? You are not alone
Many adults put off going to the dentist for years because of an unpleasant experience or embarrassment about the state of their teeth. With us you will not be judged for anything. We are glad you are here and we start with whatever feels comfortable for you.
This is how we work with anxious patients:
- First just a talk: an introductory conversation, if you prefer without treatment or even without the chair
- Explanation in advance: you know at every step what is going to happen, and nothing happens without your agreement
- Stop signal: a raised hand and we pause, always
- Your pace: we would rather have three short, successful appointments than one that runs too long
Step by step we build up trust. For most people, going to the dentist becomes ordinary again within a few appointments.
