Opening & registration

When does the dental practice in Wassenaar open?

Kliniek voor Tandheelkunde Wassenaar opens in September 2026, after the school holidays. Registration is open. When you register, we will plan your first appointment together.

How do I register as a new client?

Register using the form. We will call you to confirm your registration and schedule your first consultation.

Is the dental practice in Wassenaar accepting new patients?

Yes. Registration is open: new clients (patients) and families can register using the form. The practice opens in September 2026; after registering you will be called to schedule your first appointment.

Why do you speak of clients rather than patients?

Because you are at the helm. A patient is often told what the practitioner has decided; a client is fully informed and makes their own choices. We see you as an equal partner: we advise, you decide.

Can I register my family and children?

Yes, the whole family is welcome. Children can come from their very first tooth; regular dental care for children up to 18 years of age is covered by the basic insurance. When registering, please mention in the comment field that you would like to register several family members.

Costs & reimbursement

Are the treatments reimbursed by health insurance?

Dental care for adults is largely covered by supplementary insurance; for children up to 18 years of age the basic insurance applies. The practice works with the statutory NZa rates and provides a cost estimate in advance for more extensive treatments. You can read more on the fees & reimbursement page.

Treatments & team

Which treatments does the practice offer?

Comprehensive dental care under one roof: first consultation and intake, periodic check-up, dental hygiene and prevention, emergency care, fillings, root canal treatment, implants, crowns and bridges, reconstructive dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, gum treatment and treatment of tooth wear. Children, families and anxious clients are also welcome.

Who works at the practice?

The team consists of a BIG-registered dentist and an experienced dental hygienist, with chairside assistance. Both trained in the Netherlands at leading institutions and bring many years of experience from well-regarded practices. Get to know them on the team page.

I am anxious about visiting the dentist. Can I still come?

Of course. We take extra time and care for clients who find a visit daunting: explanation in advance, an agreed stop signal and treatment at your own pace. An introductory conversation without treatment is also possible. Read more under anxious clients.

Does the practice treat English-speaking clients?

Yes. Treatment and explanation in Dutch and English. Expats and international families are very welcome.

What should I do in case of a dental emergency?

After opening, registered clients with an emergency can usually be seen the same day. Until then, in case of acute complaints please contact your current dentist or an emergency dental service in the region. You will find practical tips for acute complaints on the emergency care page.
